Comfort Thresholds and the Being Honest with Yourself
There are days when you won’t feel like it…
Those are the days that separate the average from the great.
The average person says, “I’ll do it when I feel like it.”
The great say: “I’ll do whatever the fu** it takes.”
As you move toward your goals, you’re going to get pushed against your Comfort Thresholds.
Your comfort threshold will continue to show up as you continue to expand and move toward your goals. There’s no avoiding it, AND, at the same time, we humans are hard-wired to avoid resistance.
DAMMIT! We are hard wired for expansion AND avoidance of resistance…and in most cases, expansion triggers resistance…you see the dilemma here, don’t you.
That’s why you must consciously decide to push yourself, even if you don’t feel like it.
Don’t get me wrong, there’s a place for making things happen and there’s a place for allowing things to happen.
One of the keys is to not get caught up in your own bullshit.
Many people use the excuse of “not feeling like it” to come up with some lame ass story, like: “Oh, I’m being guided not to take action” or “Doing that just doesn’t feel light to me.”
As my son Callan says, “No no…”
Joking aside, only you know… and you can fool a lot of people, but you can’t fool yourself – so be honest with yourself. Are you avoiding the resistance and pain that provide tremendous growth? Or are you being guided to truly rest, listen, go within, etc…?
Don’t lie to you.
