The Spiritual Purpose of Goals

Written by on October 12, 2017

It’s true, so many of our minds are conditioned to compare where we are with where we want to be.

Now, there’s nothing wrong with that, UNLESS you take this next step:

If you use the comparison to minimize you and your efforts, you will go into a self-destructive thinking pattern like:
“I’m not good enough”
“I’m a failure”
“I’m not worthy of success”
“I’ll never get there”

Or one of many other patterns like it.

Remember, our actions are directly influenced by our thinking patterns. Think limiting things about yourself, and you’ll take limited action toward your goals.

HERE’S THE TRICK to use comparison FOR you – shift your mindset from “That’s where I want to be, and here’s where I am…therefor I am a failure.”

And shift to…

“That’s WHO I am designing myself to be, and here’s where I am, therefor there is more expansion to be had.”

Our primary work as an infinite spirit is EXPANSION.

That’s why we set goals as humans; to expand the spirit.

Going after your goals isn’t about the achieving the goal – that’s secondary. The primary reason we set goals is to experience our own personal expansion along the way.

And ALWAYS remember to look back and acknowledge yourself for the progress you’ve already made.

You’re the only one powerful enough to stop you. You’ve come this far and nothing has stopped you yet.

Want proof? You’re still here, aren’t you?
